APPLIANCE REPAIR
Before you call for service, read your manual for information on warranties. Some units carry 2nd through 5th year part warranties such as controls, motors, etc. These parts can be expensive so always use an Authorized Company to get the most out of your warranty. That way you can save money and be reassured that your appliance is in the hands of a Factory Trained and Certified Professional.
DISHWASHER TIPS
1. In order to keep your dishwasher clean and running to its fullest capabilities, you must clean the screen or filter regularly.
2. Most newer model dishwashers are energy efficient, therefore Jet Dry or Rinse Aid must be used.
3. Check your manual for the best results. Run your tap water until it comes out hot. This saves energy in some units and may help save time on a regular cycle.
4.Keep your spray arms from clogging by checking them regularly and if the spray arm ports are blocked you can remove debris by poking them out with a small sharp object like a skewer or even as simple as a paper clip.
5. Run vinegar with your wash once a month or more. Vinegar keeps soap scum from building up and helps prevent bad odors.
REFRIGERATOR TIPS
1.To help conserve the life of your refrigerator you should clean your condenser coil every 6 months.
2. Do not push your refrigerator all the way against the wall. Allowing 3-5 inches away from the wall will help in the circulation of air and will be help your refrigerator be more efficient.
3. Some refrigerators have up to a 5-8 year warranty on compressors. Please read your manual or call an authorized service provider for more information.
4. Empty your ice bin every other month so that you can prevent ice build up in your icemaker.
5. Check your refrigerators door seals and make sure doors close properly for a longer refrigerator life.
WASHING MACHINE TIPS
1. Make sure the main power cord is properly connected to the wall outlet.
2. Check your breakers to make sure they are not tripped.
3. If your washer is electronic, unplug it for at least 30 seconds then plug it back in, this will reset the control.
4. If you have a front loader use only high efficiency soap.
5. Do not use too much soap, this will cause a high-sudsing issue and unit may not spin or drain properly.
6. Never over load your washer.
DRYER TIPS
1. PLEASE NEVER LEAVE A RUNNING DRYER UNATTENDED!
2. Empty the lint screen after each use.
3. Wash lint screen with soap and warm water every 3-4 months.
4. If dryer heats, but takes to long to dry clothes, check vent duct for blockage or kinks.
5. Never over load your dryer, this will cause clothes to not dry properly.
6. Never over load your dryer, this will cause clothes to not dry properly.
7. If your dryer is electronic and does not program, unplug for at least 30 seconds to reset the control.
WALL OVENS & RANGES
1. Always clean spills inside oven and cook tops AFTER it has cooled down. Food can block gas flow on gas units. Too much spillage inside ovens can cause a fire.
2. Some newer models can preheat oven in 10-15 minutes. Always try to keep your oven preheated for at least 30-40 minutes, especially when baking pastries. Pastries usually take 20-30 minutes to bake. Preheating your oven for only 10-15 minutes only preheats the air inside the cavity at the preheated setting and NOT the whole oven and cavity. By preheating for at least 30-40 minutes, you condition the whole cavity and air temperature, which will give you a true desired temperature.
3. Electronic ovens can be calibrated to your liking and your manual will explain how.
4. If your electronic oven is not properly programming, check and reset your breaker to reset the oven and control.
5. If your control board is displaying an ‘Error’ code, then you should call for service.
MICROWAVES
1. Never run an empty microwave, damage to the mag-tube will occur.
2. Always keep cavity clean and free of grease.
3. Avoid slamming door shut, this can cause damage to its microswitch.
ICE MACHINES
1. Under counter ice machines MUST be cleaned and acidized every 6-8 months.
2. We offer cleaning contracts at affordable prices so you always have clean tasting ice.
3. If needed a mineral and calcium reducing filter is recommended.
4. Condenser must be cleaned every 3-4 months.
5. Ice machines run hard and all the time, the better the air flow the longer it lasts without breakdowns.
6. NEVER put wine bottles, sodas etc. inside bin. The ice should be used for consumption and not as an ice chest.
